Mei Hui’s just started work at a spa, and is learning manicure and pedicure. she’ll be moving on to massage and nail art in the future, but for now its the basic manicure. in my opinion she’s pretty good at it. not like i’ll know anything abt mani and pedi anyway. and so, i had my very first manicure by Mei Hui on sat!! she complained abt me not having enough nails for her to play with. n said i didn’t have enough cuticle for her to clean too. tsk. be her hand model still need to kena nag. anyway, here’s the nicely done up fingernails. i don’ tknow what i did but some of it cracked on the very night that it was done -.- i’m just not cut out for this kinda thing lar.
Back tracking, i finally had a full DG on thurs! yay! all four of the girls in my discipleship group turned up. so exciting to see these girls so willing to come tgt in a group to learn God’s word, with evangelism in mind. They’re willing to be accountable to each other, and really shared with each other openly. Yay!
i finally got to meet up with TAN SHE HUI after i don’t know how long. 6months? or more? and i haven’t met MICHELLE in an even longer time! grr. the good thing is it doesn’t feel that long. :) anyway, she hui recommended the sushi tei at harbour front. oh gosh the view was fantastic! we sat facing the sea. tho the IR construction spoilt the view, but it was good nonetheless. n the food was even better. the beef steamboat thing rocks! the beef just soaked up the taste of the miso soup. tho we spent arnd 20 bucks, i tot it was well worth the money.
sigh. my bro n parents just found out that i earn only $145 for teaching the 4 piano students (half an hour each, 3 of them beginners n 1 grade3) n they sort of demanded for me to stop teaching. the thing is that there’re two agents that’re taking a cut off the fees. one is the place where the lessons are held. sherwinn education centre, where they concentrate mostly on tuition/afterchild care. the other is the music sch with whom the person who intro me this job (mrs yeo) is related to. sherwinn is taking a 30% cut, and the music sch is taking a 20% cut. my parents n bro were angry that the cut that the music centre is taking is a continuous one. n for myself, i also don’t knw why they are taking that cut. so, after much discussion, the conclusion is that if the 20% cut is taken out, I can continue teaching. otherwise, i have to quit.
i feel bad thinking abt quitting just after 1month, and it’ll be bad towards pear too. but my family is against it, and i think i was being stupid when i agreed to teach without asking for further details and discussing w my family first. and, in a way, i feel that mrs yeo was being sneaky cos she only told me that pear was under a different scheme, but didn’t tell me that there was a difference in the cutting of fees part. i don’t know. argh. i don’t like this kinda thing. on one hand i feel bad abt this whole thing, but a part of me feels indignant and taken advantage of.
anyhows, i’m gg to call mrs yeo tomorrow to clarify the reasons for the music school taking a cut of my pay, when they don’t seem to be involved at all. i use the education centre’s facilities, n i need to source for music books and decide what to teach on my own. so all the music school did was to introduce me to the education centre. if that’s the case, why should the 20% be a continuous one? if they take away that cut, i’ll continue teaching. otherwise, i’ll have to quit.

Lol too bad we didn’t take any photos of the care-leh-fares hahahahahaha. And I’m pretty sure it’s not as long as 6 months. Maybe slightly less… =x
Ok ok we must meet up more :D
<333
hey babe! how did the talk with the mrs yeo person go? i hope she gave you a reasonable explanation for the cut! :(
