the long overdue post

Taiwan was ok. shopping was pretty ex, but i love the food! we had tour guide that taught us history of taiwan n told lots of dirty jokes. (widad, u’ll love it if u understand chinese). it was a great opportunity to relax n have fun w my parents. the highlight for me was the scenery. its v therapeutic n calming to look unto a view of mountains after mountains. reading a book while traveling in the tour bus with deng li jun playing in the background – surrounded by mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. that was the best moment in the trip :)

unheard voices

chanced upon this video on mrbrown.com, abt his autistic daughter learning to communicate through pictures. the ending got me thinking.

sometimes having too much makes us forget how lucky we are. sometimes, having all those things makes us less appreciative of the fundamentals in life, makes us deaf to the things truly dear to us. but, how many of us are truly able to look past what society deems impt to focus on what really matters?
